Views differ considerably when it comes to the issue of television and radio programs should be censored. Some claim that censorship is an essential and needed part of a growing society, while others argue that the freedom is the most important part in a democratic country. As far as I am concerned, the former position that programs should be carefully censored seems acceptable, and the reasons to support my statement will be illustrated in the following paragraphs.

The first reason supporting the statement is that TV programs offer the audience a convenient way to perceive more about the outside world; however, some of programs which containing too much violence as well as sexual may cause negative effects on young children's mental status. Therefore, the amount of offensive language and behavior displayed on the television screen is a major problem for most students. Obviously, television and radio programs should be carefully censored.

The second reason sustaining the statement is that high quality programs could benefit for whole society. For example, from the Discovery Channel, students can learn various kinds of knowledge about the nature, while from travel channels, people can know how foreigners live and what food they eat. Besides, we can know which roads are too much traffic or what the weather today is from radio programs. Thus, the censorship could make sure all programs are high quality.

The last reason depending the statement is that often news programs on television contain materials which are fake and may result in many serious problems. For example, in my country, Taiwan, there are some news channels controled by China. If someone who are easily affected by others' mind, he or she would believe the fake news are turst. In the end, Taiwan might lose the basic country right. Because of this reason, I am totally agree that all television and radio programs should be carefully censored.

To sum up, it is not to say other opinions are completely unreasonable. Nevertheless, I believe that the points of view I have provided above are fully capable of supporting my statement.
