There are some special characteristics of conversational Englsih that are important for you to recongnize.
Speakers often signal their desire to say something with a short word or phrase, like I mean, OK, well or yeah.
They may even begin their sentences with more than one of these expressions.

Talking about possibilities

You can use a variety of modals - like can, should and might - in either part of the sentence to express nuanced possibilities.

If they put wind towers in the hills, it might be ungly. 如果他們把風力發電塔蓋在山坡上，那會很難看。

It could be ugly if they put the towers in the hills.

It wouldn't be so bad if they could put them in the valley.

unless has a negative meaning. It equals if + not.

Wind towers are fine, unless I have to see them when I leave my house. 風力發電機是不錯的，如果我出門不用看到的話。
